One week into Always eat after 7pm

This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own.

I am pretty excited about this food mindset (I am hesitant to call it a diet, because it is really isn’t about restricting what you eat.) Right off the bat, I am a lot less worried about food. I had it in my head for years that I needed to start the day with a big breakfast, or I would be hungry all day, and would make sure to eat something whether I was actually hungry or not. Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of reasons for resistance. Now I am finding myself easily moving into late morning before I even start thinking about needing a meal.

Does this look like diet food to you?

When asked about how difficult the Always Eat After 7 PM plan is to follow, Joel was pretty candid.

“It’s not. And that’s exactly why I wrote the book. While any diet is never truly easy, it can be more enjoyable and much easier to adhere to when you understand how Always Eat After 7pm works because it caters to our bodies natural instincts.”

This seems to easy. Almost like just saying that you’re going to eat when you want and call it a diet. Having a background in science, I wanted to know how Joel managed to research the data for this diet and if he ran into any surprises that led him away from traditional “dieting science” I was a little surprised by what he had to say.

“That almost everything my college education and certifications taught me was NOT grounded in published scientific research.”

That blew my mind. That most traditional dieting wisdom was based entirely on someone’s hunch of what would work, without scientific studies to back it up.

When you start to look into the research that went into this book, the truth starts to become clear.

“A research paper published in Sports Medicine in 2014 showed that people who eat the majority of their carbs at dinner actually sleep better. Carb-induced, quality sleep decreases cortisol (a fat-storing hormone) and ramps up the production of your sleep hormones, serotonin and melatonin. Restorative sleep increases fat-burning hormones—the main one being growth hormone—overnight.”

The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good. I’m working through the acceleration phase right now, so I’ll let you know how this works for me.

Bestselling author, Joel Marion, is a fitness expert and nutritionist debunking the myths underlying traditional dieting and offers a simple, highly effective weight loss program.
